He was trying to approach Coutts, but the reputable institution rejected his request as he had the criminal story in the past. But the winner criminal record was not over, the win triggered further cases.
The winner spent £340,000 to buy a luxurious six-bedroom house in Swaffham, known as the Grange. Another £400,000 was thrown on chic furnishing. He purchased a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. He bought a lot of land around the mansion and organized a racing track there. He moved with his family into a new home. But in half a year, his wife left him taking away their small daughter.

In 2013 Michael decided to start everything anew. He packed his things and went to Scotland where his daughter lived, he started to work at the local biscuit factory for a very low salary. According to him, he began a healthy life without alcohol and drugs. And naturally, he was no longer interesting for the press. He was mentioned once in a paper advising to leave the country to a couple winning 33 million on the lottery.

People have a various opinion about this man. Some consider him a loser wasting his chance and good luck. Other believe that all the misfortunes were due to his young age when he was much under the influence of wrong people. The world has seen many lottery millionaires.
